A quiet achiever, Crown Jewel or "Jewel" as she was affectionately known, did not amass large quantities of ribbons or titles at major shows (she was in fact unshown) but excelled where it mattered most, as a brood mare, having an impressive lifetime total of eighteen foals.

It was not, however, just in production of sheer numbers of progeny that Jewel excelled, but the quality of the offspring she produced, many being Championship winners. Most of her foals were of predominantly Crabbet blood but only the last five by Chip Chase Kaiwanna,
were in fact pure Crabbet.

Although 16 years old when purchased by us, she went on to produce four fillies and one colt - three of her lovely pure Crabbet daughters are still in the stud today (Boomori Touch Of Class,
Boomori Bint Jewel and Boomori Monique) - see "Mares".
